Very Delighted EOTD usimg Nyx's Trio eyeshdow Pallette

Hello sunshine,

I absolutely have no clue what to name this post.I started out with trying to create a red carpet look for Samyukta makeup contest. Now here it is ending up to be one of those tutorial where I show how to wear you colour.Turquoise Blue is the star here and I have tried it to keep it the focus in my entire look.SO without a much ado lets get straight to the eye tutorial.

Start with a clean bare eye. Here's what mine looks like

Apply the NYX's Jumbo pencil in milk since I'm working with neutrals and this is my mantra here to show up.

If you notice closely I haven't played any eyeshadow yet, started to do my brows.I draw shorter strokes in NYX's Auto pencil in dark Brown and fill in all the sparse spaces.

Next up using the brow powder ,its like blending in the brow powder and the pencil. Also I used  brow wax with a new mascara wand and shaped it in place.

I use the Maybelline colour Tattoo  in the shade "Bad to Bronze"and apply it generously on the lids .

Next am using a bronze shade from a Trio Pallette"Triple shadows for Sexy Babes Eyes only "in the shade TS28A 'very delight' I use the darkest of the neutral palette and use an angle brush to draw out  a feline sorta shape.

Almost taking to my brows. If you have hooded eyes chances are you are not going to have as much of space to work on just make sure a leave a tiny space between the flick and brows.

Next on I layered it with the peachy shimmer shade from the same pallette and starting to blend the colours together.

Once you are satisfied with the shades,go in with a the pressed powder and a flat shader brush and blend out all the outer edges.Am not aiming for the cut-crease look hence it becomes very important to blend out the outer edges.

For my higlighting I used Inglot's eyeshadow in matte white in the shade number :373 Matte
The key here is to make look like a seamlessly blended one look hence a clean shader brush is you best friend.I prefer using my pressed powder to clean up the whole look .

After tightlining my eyes,I thought of directly using the inglot colour on my lower lids but in order to make it more prominent we need a base + it'll make the colour last longer and show up better.

I used the MAYBELLINE colour tattoo cream eyeshadow in the shade and layered  the shade "371" from INGLOT freedom palette system .

So this is what it looks like complete , but am going to take it a notch higher by adding falsies.

 I used JUSTGOLD's lashes and Duo-adhesive Lash Glue .

In flash light.

I summed up the whole look with topping up with COLORBAR Lipstick in peach crush and INGLOT's freedom system blush in the shade number 30.

This sums up my quick post.Do you like to wear colour on your bottom lashes?I have been loving the trend,it's super easy to incorporate and breaks the monotony of the everyday looks by bringing in colour :)

p.s.:On a second thought I think I will submit this entry :)
I hope you like this fun look and tr it out.Stay Chic !
XOXO

A much needed D-I-Y project!

Good morning my hush puppies,

Now if you kind-off know me you would know my obsession with all things studs, spikes and cones.I have been on this crazy search os spikes stud,I recently spotted them at Vipra's Haul story but when I went to Aldo they were all gone.My size being a 41 (friends  call me Yeti) is another story that I cudn't just get my hand on these babies.Well like we all know "necessity being the mother of all inventions" ,Bingo I had to do it on my own and they cost 1/5 th of the price people pay for these crazy babies.

Since this was an experimental piece I chose a very humble Tennis canvas shoes that just cost me Rs.285 and everything else well I had it at home.
Now that I have you guys hooked  on to my story here ,let me start with the tutorial.

Things you'll need:

Canvas shoes your size- any shoes seal the deal , all you really want is anything that  paint works on(next I'm thinking of using my crocs and moccasins :D )
*    Spikes/Cones/Studs
*    Fabric Color of your choice - I used orange, pink, cobalt blue, parrot green and acrylic based golden glitter.
*    Dotting tool (or anything that'll pretty much get through the canvas)
*    Scissors
*    Paint Brushes
*    Card Paper for drawing your template design
*    Patience (oh yeah tons of it)

We start off with removing the laces, oh yes obvious I know I just had to show off my leopard mani  :P

Cover the rubber parts that you don’t want to paint. This is how I covered mine.

Next I trace a chevron strip pattern on paper and well snip it out. This will be helpful for drawing on the shoes, if you are really good at drawing freehand you can totally omit this step.A word of caution here you really dont want to use a pen ,I did and it shows through the paint so  go as light-handed as you can possibly.

Next up once I was satisfied with my design I started painting. I did one colour at a time each, this way I don’t have to wash my brush each time also it dries faster. And if the drying part gets to your nerves just blast the dryer on cool setting.

This seems to be an endless step, it took me an hour to complete before I could hop on the sparkle wagon. I wanted to stop after pink and green, it looked nice but on a second thought just went on with the flow. Next I smeared my golden acrylic sparkle paint with my finger in the center area * I don’t what is it called again .

Next I put them to air-dry in my balcony on newspaper where they well like 100 times ,you’ll know when you some smears.

Next for that finished look I go on and use the blue and line up the shoes. Also I painted the tongues of the shoes before studding.

Once its done we shall poke the screw top spike studs. I wanted to embellish the entire area but I did not have enough of them .I like he screw top ones because they don’t peel off  compared to the ones you can stick with the glue gun. Plus we can always reuse these!

I use the dotting tool to get through the canvas, see the black dot in the picture below that’s the smug hole I am going to insert the screw top.

And well here's what it look like finally from all side :P

I really hope you guys try it,would love see your creations.I have a couple of other revamp your footwear D-I-Y's coming soon!

D-I-Y + FOTD = OOTD

Hello my honey bunches,

The weekday work bug is already getting to me and I decided to take care of it.I posted a sneak peak of my revamp your tee on my face book page here. I love how a simple tee look can be worked with and is super versatile. So here's whats on the platter today -> I have a super easy d-i-y t-shirt and a makeup idea  for smaller eyes to making them look bigger *you know very dolly-eyed*.

Things you'll need :
  • any tee that you want to ruin (like my mother says),
  • fabric shears and
  • safety pins(this again could be your choice of colours ,I used colourful ones  :)

So all you really got to do is mark your shoulders and cut off over the the sleeves like so. I kind off stitched it inwards so it wouldn't fray or widen,if you like yours wider  just don't stitch it widens after every wash :D
When am wearing a plain round neck tee I really like shortening the length by rolling of sleeves.Old habits dies hard,I did that all the time with my uniform back in school. Here I add safety pins to the roll up sleeves.Voila, you now have your very own revamped t-shirt!

Now I was all up for the natural looking no-makeup makeup but it only made me look really washed out.Don't believe me take a look,

So I started my makeup with a wash of Kryolan cinnamon all over the lids, tightlined my eyes using Kryolan Eyekonic gel liner in black and well two very generous coats of mascara each using VeryMe Fat Lash Mascara and Maybelline colossal Waterproof Mascara.I first paired if with Lakme Flirt Love Lipbalm but somehow it just washed me out with red getting overbearing,So goes my no-makeup look down the drain I decided to wear red lip stick from Colorbar Hot Hot and winged my eyes in just the outer corners. This look instantly makes your eyes look bigger. Also I did sought of a heavy contouring on my jawline with Essence Matte bronzer for Brunettes for achieving a V-shape jawline.

The pic where you can actually see my doble chin and how effective is contouring really :P

Yeash trying to be all doll -like,notice how bigger my eyes look?

A close up of my blush and bronzer and yeah my edgy earring that I have been waiting to show off. Courtesy- BLur

A closeup of my eyemakeup and lips(yes I am biting my lip to make it look smaller *tch..tchh*) .

And yes in the end Trying to be all nerdy and sexy ..haha such facepalm!Oh yes I have glasses,am so solemnly blind!

I wore it with my OLD Navy denim shorts.
I really hope you like this d-i-y and try it!Let me know if you love it or hate it? Would you wear red on red,
I really don't know what to wear when it come to anything red!
See you lovelies soon in my next post, till then
Stay chic,
XOXO.
