The Denim Chronicles

                                      Hello my Cherry Popsicles!
Sometimes I feel absolutely okay to draw attention to oneself! As a women and especially fat women we are discouraged from making bold statements with our imagination and encouraged to blend in as much as possible, but it's so fun liberating to make the statement you want with your image. In Plus size fashion we are at a place of fabulous growth & self exploration to be tied up in fun rules.
So here's something fun we've tried with Denim and what's exciting You will see my amazing paunch too quite the few times!

Breaking down the Pairings:

I thrifted this loose shirt added some crochet work at the back, sucked in my paunch pulled my hair in a top knot, To add some dimension I added a tan belt and also the Buggati Leather Ankle tops from my brother. The bag pack goes without saying is an essential ,from Splash!

Make a dark wash denim work for your nightout with girls. Yes and you can all sneak this in a drawer right at your desk. Wore my Jewel Silk Pencil Skirt with pointy heels from Tresmode. A braided side bun and statement earring spell sophistication at its best.

For the day I like to have more lighter colours on ,So I buttoned  up the studded light wash denim shirt (thrifted )and paired with floral jeans from L.O.V (Westside) & the Pointy lovelies from Tresmode. What I really like about the Pointy toes is how it elevates your entire frame, so whatever size you maybe One of these babies are a must in your closet. My choice of sunbeamers was aviators and my tan satchel from Done By None.

It's one of those pairing that spells a lot of time being invested in fact it's the exact opposite. I paired this hi-low racer (my own design) back over denim shorts(Old Navy) and to give a more finished look added the Zapelle Floral Blazer. My rule of them has become if you want to pull any outfit together add a blazer and Voila!

I would wear this to a Sun-downer, adding an extra inches with Nude peep tows (Tresmode) and the colour blocked Sling (Youshine).

It's an absolute pain  to find anything remotely oversized for us, but don't let that limit you I found this at a Men's store(can't recall the name) AND IT'S THE PERFECT OVERSIZED SHIRT .Why do I say Perfect Oversized 'cos the shoulders don't droop. I wanted a really comfortable look for running errands, hence the pairing a jersey knit ganji over legging and the most trusty (also, handpainted ) ballet flats.
A messy side braid, the perfect Jhola(ACCESORIZE) and Lennon Glasses make it worth the second look. Alternatively you can button up halfway and cinch the waistline with a belt.

The last Pairing is my personal Favourite. I’m absolutely Maxi obsessed these days and I keep looking for various ways to don it, which is endless of course! Here I paired my oversized Denim Shirt knotted over the Maxi dress (Pepe) and thong sandals.

We really hope you like our effort, please keep going with the feedback .It's so much more precious than you think and we love to hear you.
We'll see you soon in the next post, till then

Calling my own SHOrTS

So it's been really long since we last spoke ehh! We are trying our best to keep up  but alas! The great news is our website is up and coming & so is our blog being revamped really soon so you can view our work and we shall start taking customised order for dresses and bags. Well for now it's too soon to reveal every little detail.
Coming to the blogpost With the arrival of summers and that humid in betweens, for the first time I'm wearing Amydus for a blog post(talk about being Brand Endorsement).
Shorts are pretty much a big no -no on every curvy fashionistas list.It was mine too trust me until I acquired the right way to wear it .Yes there's always a way you can work it for your body type.An article I came across on WIKIHOW(I love how can talk to it without being judged) and it has an answer for just about everything.
INSERT TELESERIAL BACKDROP MUSIC
*Do you feel exposed when wearing shorts? Do you feel like everyone is looking at your seemingly horrible looking legs? Here are some steps to help you throw off those jeans and strut your stuff!*

Now when it comes to buying the perfect pair of shorts for Plus size Divas
Let's talk  your proportions to select the right style for your body type:
Consider your height: Longer shorts create the impression of shorter legs, while short shorts lengthen the leg, giving the impression of height. Play it safe. Women of most heights can find stylish and flattering shorts that hit around the mid-thigh.
Ø  Consider the fit: Shorts that flare out toward the bottom, rather than hugging the thigh, are flattering for petite girls and curvy women alike. Long styles like mid-thigh shorts or Bermudas are best, while taller women might find longer shorts more appropriate.
Ø  Buy shorts that extend past the hip, but not quite up to the narrowest part of your waist. These are sometimes called "mid-rise" shorts and can be more flattering.
Ø  Color-block. Pair brightly colored shorts with contrasting brightly colored tops to create a stylish look. Work within the same intensity palate, pairing pastels or neutral colors, say, and create a simple elegant look with shorts, appropriate especially for the summer.
Ø  We've real dearth of options when it comes to buying shorts but fret not street side thrift shops are here to offer you quite the unexpected after relentless digging. Online portals like stalkbuylove.com,asos are a few options for a good fitted shorts. And if all fails when is your local darzi(tailor) is going to give you that custom fit.

I'm personally a fan of prints but my lower half being even heavier I opted for an opaque black shorts from OLD NAVY with two formal Pussy-bow shirts from AMYDUS. Remember You want to accentuate your best features and create an  impression of legs that last a mile !

I hope you have a fair idea by now don't forget to accessorize your look keeping in mind ur personality.I Would love to see your take on shorts, send us pictures videos.I will see you soon in my next post!

From The thrift Kitty

Hello my rasberry marmalades!
Quite a while since we did our last OutFit Post and here one's staright fresh from the thrift shops! Also the first time I debut my ombre curls on blog  *Grime happy face*

I would love to etch my hedonic perspective and the endless happy unicorns dancing around me with the utilitrian concept of thrift shopping but alas that would be an endless rant.So today's Outfit of the Day features our selfless love for thrift.Yes ladies an absolute budget post alert here .
I wore this to brunch and keeping up with the heat this seem to be right burst of colours to us.Go ahead judge your self!

Dress,Pumps,Belt and Hairband all picked up from thrift shop at Hill road.
Talk about eyeing the perfect match.A quick tip for you munchkins , we found that the biggest mistake a thrift-shopper can make is going with high expectations and a focused idea of what they want. Thrift stores are an eclectic collection of pieces from ‘yesterday’ and ‘yesteryear(s)’. If you have something specific in mind, you will likely be disappointed. To avoid frustration, go to a thrift-shop with an open mind and no expectations. It’s also very helpful to avoid second-hand shopping when you have deadlines and time restrictions. Leave your schedule open for the thrift-shop treasure hunt!
See you seen in our next post, till the Stay Chic

The Phulkari !

Hello my Paprika sausages!

This perhaps after a long time I'm doing an #OOTD!
Nothing feels better than being home. All these quick trips include one thing in common - a lot of nostalgia running through me over and again.
So another usual shopper's day and hoards of meeting to attend I wanted to keep my outfit simple and really comfortable for a change. Pairing a simple kurta round neck kurta from Cotton Cottage, leggings from Westside and I made the quirky phulkari jacket paired with my Tresmode bow ballets.

I hope you enjoyed the post. You shall hear from me soon !Stay Chic.

Thank you once again! Let me rant no more and finally talk about whose on spotlight this week.
“Manya Sharma”
Manya is our geek chic fashionista all of 20 aspiring to make it big in textiles. Our rocker chic instinct mixed inebriety with the nerd sportswear made me want to feature her on the blog.
Instead of pairing a traditional crop top she decided to don blazer sans the top over the leather mini overalls.
Completed the look with high top sneakers quilted wedgies, faux leather sling and nerd glasses.

We love the idea how she is keeping it breezy wearing this form fitted blazer to add shape to the entire siloutte. Her.Her tattoos get her extra brownie points.

Spotlight of The Week - Umair

Good morning my Red Velvet Cupcakes!
God just the thought of this red velvet cupcakes brings up the fresh memories of the past year. Thank you from our entire team for being such an amazing readers , All your comments ,in person conversations and your honest views keep us on our toes.We strive to work harder for you (Okay! That went a l'il overboard but our heartfelt thanks to all our readers ).

Our first post of the year is specially dedicated to our Alpha-males.
Today we feature Umair , a second year design student who likes to keep his personal style a tad bit dressier in casual everyday-wear.

He paired a casual black crew neck tee(thrifted from Delhi) with olive-tan chinos from (Wills Lifestyle). The denim shirt over the tee and the tiger tooth neck piece(thrifted from Brigade road,Bangalore) finishing it up with brown NIKE leather shoes. He accesorised the look with a spacious bag and a watch(Sonata).

What we like about the look?
We Like how he has layered the shirt over as it gives a very clean look to the rather boring    t-shirt-chino pairing. The neck-piece binds in an edge and adds to the over all look without going overboard.
