Unlikely Barbie LOTD (PINK for October)

Hello my mushies,I’m absolutely ecstatic on receiving my Coastal Scents Combo today  :D And I’ve done innumerable tutorials in my head. A big  grizzly bear hug to Akie I cudn’t have had a better gift I swear. I’ll be basking in  the glory of this coveted palette for months to come now.

Okay I shall shutup with the blabbering and come to my Pink unlikely-barbie Pink EOTD now .

This is an absolutely simple and should be a very wearable look to any of those soirées if you ‘re getting too for Breast Cancer Awareness’ know I’m going to c’mon ladies the least we can do is incorporate Pink into our wardrobe somewhere? I’m not a pink person really so you should be able to relate to the LOTD here J

Step 1:Prime your eyes.I’m already wearing my BB stick on my entire face.

Step 2:I’m using this Tangy and fierce as a base that’ll hold on the colour better and show up. 

Step 3:I sweep the lightest colour from the Clinique palette all over my lid..

Step 4:Defining my crease .If you do not know where exactly to put your crease colour look  upwards keeping your open and firmly mark with your choice of creamy brown eye pencil.( I know this can be a bit awkward face, but you’ll know where exactly does your crease colour will  show up).

Step 5:I use the next mauve-plum colour all over my crease and blend away. Next you want a small fluffy blending brush and get to work.

Step 6:Here comes our star colour I use this bright pop of pink on my lashline and highlight my inner corner with a pearl gold. Also I go back and conceal under my eyes. I save it for the last because of the falllouts.

Step7:You want to tightline your eyes next and 3/4^th on your lower waterline.

Step 8:Get creative with your liner, this is totally upto you.I’m into slanted eye liner these days which finish half way through my lids. Makes your eyes look bigger trust me.Add oodles of Mascara. And you are ready to go PINK girl.

 This is totally optional but I don’t want to leave the house without blush these days, So I used Pink blush From Pro on the apples of my cheek and contoured with the ESSENCE matte bronzer for brunettes.

If you are a lip person try something different from your everyday pink. Now we all love Hooked on Pink by Maybelline but how about adding an undertone to it so I used  lip refill no 19 from the freedom palette and stained my lips. Used the lipstick directly from the bullet  and Voila your luscious lip are ready!

That one night !

Good evening my French fries! Errr ok no lovelies, All I can think of is food right now.

Navratri has begun and so has the 9 days of fasting .God and everything seems to be soo tempting around. Coming back to the post I'm taking out one of those unkempt secrets from the closet that has been sitting prettily for too long.

Yes it happened during midnight, both of us summoning to the silence in the air. Finally we had to succumb to the temptation. No am not making love here but yes the dress up that I still play (in my hostel room )only better with live version of Playdolls!

This post was long due like a year back so I've got a number of flaws that I can point but I'm sure you guys will give me this pass today(like you've an option).I haven't got much to write about this LOTD.

We started off as frenemies,I thought I 'd to beg her to shoot with me but as luck would have it I did not have to do any such thing, which btw ended up coming this long. Today we're this long lost soul sisters that are connected (somehow we end up getting in the same crap simultaneously, trust me)!

Originally This was supposed to be an interpretation of the movie "Midnight in Paris" but only ended up being "How I would do  the French Riviera KISS"  :D

We have basically got 2 outfit changes here with number of accessories to be played with. The makeup has been kept very neutral with feline liner ,luscious lips and dewy cheeks.(She is the only reason that I wear blushes today).
The room however is a hot  mess hence you'll know when you take a look at the editing of the pictures. And I really hope you guys like the  post, more like fun throwback !Just browse through the pictures,you can go back and positively criticise ,you know :P

Here comes my pretty lady well partially behind the straw hat!

See how a few accessories here and there can make a difference.Incase you haven't noticed I was making a point here Accessories and Nude Pumps are a must have in every girl's wardrobe(Okay! No I just made that up) but you'll agree how important role they play. And I cannot emphasise any more on how important and a closet must have, these nude pumps are.
Like red lipsticks one needs to find their own match of nude here too but its worth adding a few inches to your frame and making your legs slimmer .Ehh,No?

I shall you seen in my next post maybe have some more throwback Saturdays!

The Canary Talk

Hello sunshine,Back with a post.Here’s a quickie! Like literally .Super easy tutorial on being a canary ,oh and a LOTD too!

So here’s what you need to zero on :

A primer(used FACES metallic eyeshadow primer)

Any bright eyeshadow that you want to blind the people with! (NYX’s matte in the shade )

Concealer (probably a tone lighted than what you usually use)

A cream  base eyeshadow(Used Maybelline Tattoo 24 hour cream eyeshadow in Fierce and Tangy)

Eyebrow pencil and brow kit that you usually use.( and if you are naturally the Cara well I envy you)

A black Gel liner(I prefer Ickonik from Kryolan)

The pictures are pretty much self explanatory as for the lips I went duo lips shade .Also this is a great trick for girls who want a pretty luscious lips.I used two different lip colours.And here’s the LOTD.

And here’s the LOTD. Okay even Ikind agree the liner is way too Cleopatra cube but then where is the fun without experimenting! Tell me if you  will hop on the wagon or you like your ferocious cat too much to give up!

An ode to the elizabeth's maidens and the likes

Today I seriously can't think of a name for you, ahh no I'm just PMS'ing ,sorry if I just grossed you out. I'm the unnecessary
over-sharer soughts.
So the look of the day is inspired by not just a particular women but for a period and let’s just say am the filmy sorts so over several period movies :Marie Antoinette, Elizabeth :Golden Age, Vanity Fair and Anna Karenina to name a few  .I’m doing more o a toned down version of the look say like a woman in the court would wear something like this one fine evening  .The veil and the headgear are  handmade by me,which brings me to announce that I shall be taking orders for custom headgears ,hairbands,veils,pins very soon J

Like any fashion, make-up went through highs and lows of popularity through the centuries, indeed, from decade to decade.  

In the victorian era, a healthy and natural complexion was valued (or pale and delicate look), especially for young people. However, makeup was used, but it was a bit of a taboo and certainly not to be revealed to others. A point of clarification; make-up was not a term used commonly until after 1870.* Cosmetics referred to anything applied to the skin of a medicinal nature, and embellishments were pastes, powders and paints, used to alter appearance. All of these products were purchased at local apothecary (pharmacist) shops and through doctors or, for the very wealthy, ordered from specialist dealers abroad. There were also home-made versions, and even the poor where known to indulge. So, yes, people did wear make-up throughout the 19th century, subtly and garishly.

• As part of their “toilet” in the morning ladies of leisure would ensure well plucked eyebrows, perhaps trim their eyelashes, and daub castor oil onto their eyelids and lashes.
• To hide freckles, blotches, or redness, they could dust on rice powder or, the most expensive option, ground pearl powder.
• On their lips they might apply a clear pomade (beeswax) for a shine and to provide protection from the elements, and some contained dye to discreetly accentuate the lip colour, crushed flowers and carmine (made from the female cochineal insect) being favoured. A recipe for lip balm included evergreen bugloss, also known as alkanet, a common weed with blue flowers that provides red dye, the root in particular (but does nothing for chapped lips).
• For a healthy complexion, and to contrast the very pale skin of the privileged class, red beet juice or a carmine dye could be massaged into the cheeks. For bright eyes, a drop of lemon or orange juice in each eye would be used, and was considered a cleansing method.

I think that’s enough with gyaan but history and more like period costumes has always mesmerised me, getting an opportunity to study the same I decided to share this information with you and also if you would like to add on it would be appreciated.

For this look I have very elaborate eyes and  lips .

And then i decided to go in goth veil bride sought look :P
