The Jewel Edit with Studio Voylla

In the jungles of time and space, it's wise to remember that the best hope one has for thriving among the seen, the known, and the manifested, comes from playing off the unseen, the unknown, and the not yet manifested.

"I don't exist without writing."The quote by songwriter Jewel that pops every time I'm about to write a new blogpost. A woman and her wardrobe are needlessly to say an endless affair. Quaint details that bring details to our eyes, a smudge of tint and we are ready to get on with the day.
Can't wait to share with you Studio Voylla's well kept artisanal secrets!

Everywhere in the world, women are wearing an ample variety of jewelry. Whether it is about necklaces, bracelets or earrings, jewellery is extremely popular. So why do so many women choose to wear jewellery on daily basis and why do these accessories have such an enormous impact on the way they look and feel?

The fact is that jewellery has always been an important part of human cultures, serving several purposes that are deeply significant to each of us.

1. Jaipur Collection
Opulent palaces and mansions, the cascading chandeliers of the inner sanctums of the palace .intricate, vibrant frescos on doorways, awnings ,arches with peacocks and parrots and floral motifs - a snatch of resplendent royalty captured in the stunning Jaipur collection.

My personal Styling Note:
This definitely bought out the best of my punjabiness-I paired the Pink StoneAdorned Enamel Finish Floral Drop Dangler Earrings with my gota patti kurta and I was good to go! Literally getting ready has never been easier when you pick up such key investments for your closet.

2.Warrior Princess Collection

The gleaming metal of the sharpest swords poised to strike inspired this stunning collection. Sharp, provocative, stunning-each piece in the collection is a story in itself.

My personal Styling Note:
I paired these earrings for a day out at he beach in an off-shoulder Koovs Maxi dress and tie ups.

3.Kutch Collection

Colorful ,feisty, bright, fun and artistic the Kutch collection draws its inspiration from the enchanting land of Kutch,Gujarat and its mystical and ethereal heritage. Each piece in the versatile collection is a true work of art and infuses traditional craftsmanship with a modern chic vibe. Take home a piece of mythical splendor with a beautiful jewel from the land of Kutch.
My personal Styling Note:
I paired my Silver Plated Drop Earrings With Peacock Motifs
with  my laid back forest green maxi with tassels.I love how the different plating of silver adds to the authenticity of the earring. I would wear it with everything and everywhere.

Retro Flounce featuring Femella

If somebody ever asked me about my style game  - Pinup/Old Hollywood Glam would spell it all.  Do judge me for the love of god, if I tell you that as much as I love my sarees I absolutely head over in heels am in love with the yesteryears of Hollywood.

If I could I would dressup the pinup girl everyday! As for today I hunt on for trends that I can inculcate small glimpses of the yesteryears.

So when i saw this dress on the Femella website I know I had to get it. The flouncy sleeves are my takeaway on the trend. The marsala colour is to swoon over, especially when it is compiled with detailed gold zipper.
The fabric is the softest heather moss lycra with princess line seams and a beautifully rounded neck.
The hi-low hemline gives it the modern touch.I paired mine with some 100 denier stockings from Hunker Moller and Tresmode Pumps. My little ceramic pin gave it the perfect touch and I wore my hair in a short but retro waves swept back on one side.

Borrowed from the lux golden era I absolutely adore finger waves. The deep partition with the bangs swooped aside with pin is clearly one of my favourite hairstyles.

Will you be your own valentine?

I know my girls you might have chalk it up to another Archies holiday, but there's no point denying that Valentine's Day is the perfect excuse to put on a cute outfit and hit the town.

For me, valentine's have had it's hot and very darn cold variations. But this season I help you dress up with the most stunning yet cliché option to dress up. My inspiration was obviously the very pink and not anatomically correct heart. Going full on red is an obvious choice and that's why I opted for this very hot pink dress tailored by me.he dress has a very ladylike feel yet means sexy! I love how I decided to use a nude color lining to cling under the dress to give it that see through effect yet not giving much away.

I really think that How you feel about Valentine’s Day may depend on how you feel about yourself and what kind of relationship you’re in if any.For me, it's complicated but nevertheless not a reason enough not to celebrate ! I wear my own very romantic cutout dress paired with sand dune block heels 'cos I really want to be able to walk the talk. My hair is done is a retro full updo with my fading lavender hair and wearing drop earrings by blur. The makeup essentially plays up with the eyes. I'm wearing pale pink to a gray smokey eye paired with almost MLBB shade.

Whether you're going out on a romantic tinder date or drinking one too many vodka with your girlfriends this dress will absolutely make head turns!Don't forget to love yourself, ladies.

La vie en rose

Start where you stand and never mind the past
The past won't help you in beginning new,
If you have left it all behind at last,
Why that's enough, you're done with it, you're through.

This is another chapter in the book,
This is another race that you have planned.
Don't give the vanished days a backwards look,

Start where you stand.

I picked the poem off from "http://www.behappyzone.com/poems.html" cos it really defined us both.

Sometimes you just have to experience the pictures and today I leave you to it with our photo series La vie en Rose.

Being Bewakoof

For someone, if you know me Being sporty would be an absolute alterr-ego that I love to adorn everyday! I'm the absolute opposite. The closest that I ever got close to being a sportsperson was frankly shattered after a few hits and misses when I played for the school football team and my tattered shorts and shoes rather made the neighbourhood aunty apologetic
I'm that girl that must have tried every single sport-indoor and outdoor every time somebody called out for a game, literally! BUT never really making to the end of it.
The childhood might have bought back a several treasured memories thanks to bewakoof. You know what do I absolutely love abut the brand- it's tagline

"Don't let the world  take away your innocence,
  Follow your heart
Be  Bewakoof"

The line genuinely appealed to me because it has no inner derivation really, it's really is about keeping it simple silly! If you really genuinely like something do it with all your passion and it will eventually pave out the path for you.
What encapsulates the tagline even better is the kind of athleisure line that they have come up with. Easy going clothes that take you from your CrossFit to brunch place.

In this post, I will share my love for this easy going vibe of the dress.
Bewakoof is a cool casual wear brand. Our customers are our focus and we believe in connecting with them to the fullest.

We mirror the fondness of today’s youth and intend to sell a unique product line which conforms to latest trend standards at unbeatable prices.

Bewakoof has taken the revolutionary approach to creating products in-house and sell directly to customers. It’s a no-middleman, no-rentals, no-markups business model, which is centered around selling straight to customers online.

Inspired by design and driven by creativity, our passionate team strives to offer a wide range of up-to-the-minute styles that is ‘quality guaranteed’. Available in vibrant colors, clean neutrals, and prints & patterns, our fashion line defines the free spirit of the NexGen.

I've paired My dress with this beautiful and really mean it's is beautiful Koovs backpack with my Adidas Neo kicks and a messy ponytail by The Mad Hair Scientist.

15 Days Of celebration with NYX

Makeup id definitely an extension of our personalities-the length of our wings vary and so does our pouty ways of matte creams. With all the rage of Matte Lip Cream I today foray into my first beauty review post.NYX was kind enough to spread some holiday cheer with me and sent goodies that I haven't stopped using every single day(and you obviously know t from my Instatory and Snapchat)

NYX forayed into India with a bang, I remember buying eyeshadow and blushes online through medplusbeauty when the advent of online shopping had just begun. I loved the brand for it's affordability now with the relaunch the prices have certainly spiked up but I cannot even justify the price of lipcream and liners to the quality.

So NYX Cosmetics is one  of the most sought after drugstore makeup brand which has been a pivotal for anyone obsessed with beauty! (that too on a budget, doesn't really imply when one buys this in India though) I have seen at least once beauty blogger or professional makeup artists rave about the brand's innovative products .
Did you know how they pronounce NYX- It's 'niks,' in reference to the Greek goddess of the night. After snooping on the history, I found out how NYX Cosmetics had started as a really small establishment in 1999 by Toni Ko and The brand was initially exclusive on trade shows only.

First up, this product is NOT a liquid lipstick, it's a liquid cream lipstick, a stark difference as this lip product transfers on everything, and I mean everything . Also It applies like a liquid lipstick though and "dries" matte. I quote dry because it never really dries down. It feels slightly sticky the entire wear time, which might annoy me if I were planning to wear this on it's own. It also has a tendency to define the lines in your lips.
But the reason I absolutely wanted this product is one of it's pros. The product is opaque as hell. With just a couple careful swipes (although you have to be extremely careful with the application) one can get a fully opaque color with none of your lip color showing through so the coverage is way better than a normal cream lipstick.

But because of the opaqueness, you can end up applying too much on, that can glob up as you talk, so go light on the application. It would still be as opaque. The lipstick does stay on for a long long time because of it's formula but like I mentioned it transfers every wear hence the re-application can be tedious if you are a lazy bum like me.

This is how it looks on  me. Under the lights, Stone Fox looks black, but is actually a blue toned gray, or Slate color, hence the name Stone Fox. I personally think the shade is perfect for fall and Halloween.

The formulas are exact same for these shades, so I will show you the swatches and how it looks on me.The shades are called (Left to Right-I've swiped them once and then double coats to show you guys to paquenessess)

Berry Strudel is a pretty bright  violet purple with a hint of pink and fairly cool undertones. The finish is absolutely creamy and glossy true to it's name. The colour took 2-3 swipes to get an even tone and is definitely prone to streaking. The colour is definitely a new addition and is one of them that i wouldn't have dared to put it on except it does not look that bad at all.
I cannot comment on thwear time as I swatching these shades one after the another and would do a quick update once I've worn them all.
