First OOTD Post

Hellow my cupcakes,
Moving on to my first OOTD Post, I’m super excited about this second collaboration. Also I have been wanting to introduce my lovely readers to  our in-house model Prachi. Since the blog is about styles also that does not preach a size we love to shift our focus to the our counterparts-the not-so perfect bod in comparison to our magazine spreads. This OOTD is about petite size.
Prachi is a size 2 and hence the obvious choice whereas I’m a size 16 but we shall be back to that with our "Ultimate guide to Plus size dressing" in a later post.
So this OOTD is a thumbs up on how we can wear two clashing trends together-sequin and animal prints. What better to wear it out in the room to beat the gloomy rain with all that jazz.
For inspiration, look to D&G, which was all over the trend in their spring/summer show, teaming gingham with florals in an unlikely but successful blend.
How to wear?
·        Try on crazily different prints - mix aztec with animal prints, tribal with stripes or spots, graphic with tropical or for a more print-monochromatic look change up to floral with floral or dot with dots.
·        Wear your spot shirt with tropical printed skirt and go loud (think bright) on accessories for an 'all eyeballs on me' look
·        Team a printed dress with animal print bag and/or shoe or play it safe with the following looks:
- wear bright colour clothing and clash the print through your accessories.
- mix muted prints and base colours (like black, dusky pink or beige) and layer them together. Think of wearing a block coloured tee with printed pants and animal print shoe and throw in a jacket  .
·        No matter how you choose to wear the look (subtle or bold) keep the colors in the same family or mood. No matter how different your patterns, as long as the colors match, you're good to go.

Its time to break the old rules and make new ones. So throw out your rules book which says anything about not mixing the prints, rummage through your wardrobe to find the perfect print clashing pieces and make a statement.

*Yet again a picture heavy Post*

Products used :

·        For the face I used Garnier BB Cream as a base, concealing dark circles and some discoloration with Kryolan Supracolour concealer.
·        I avoided any pressed powder because I wanted a dewy finish.
·        For the eyes: I used kohl to tight lining and on the water liner.
Placed a generous amount of eyeshadow in the shade of  from Kryolan.
·        Cutting a crease using shimmery brown shadow from Nyx Trio Pallette.
·        And used generous amount of mascara from Rimmel Scandalous eyes and demi lashes.
·        For the lips I used Maybelline Matte super stay 16-hr lipstick in the shade Infinitely Fuschia.

Outfit:
·        I chose a small print as it could be a versatile piece to work with. The top was was too over sized for her  hence a good way to style it was with a crop top which worked well with our high-waisted brown sequin skirt.I have designed the skirt using tulle, polyester and net, and some amazing sequin, sourced by my aunt on her trip to Paris.
The wedges are an absolute fit to adding the perfect length and colour to our neutral outfit. Also to get that polished look I added a tan belt, that also kept the skirt in place :P
·        The accessories are minimum just added a statement ring and that classic small satchel with gold rim.
