Do you love tartans?

As in the highlands wear the family tartans in homage to the tradition of the finest Scottish society. Bon chic bon genre version revised with classic air or reinterpreted in the style of the most irrelevant fashion designers

 Tartan enters into the autumn and the winter wardrobes and shares the stages with classic menswear fabric like prince of Lea check as well as herringbone and tweed gently unstructured a la Chanel which is now a common heritage no gender.

I have always been asked about what I like to wear on an everyday basis to work and running errands. My only answer to that has been some several basics that I have repeated over years now. For work(Those of you don't know - I teach at a design Institute in Mumbai) I like to pick out separates that can have multiple wears and can be worn multiple ways. For this post I'm sharing an ensemble I have been wearing a lot lately- I love the tartan plaids trend, now peplum has not been a choicest of a trend that I always vouch for. This top is a thrift find from Bandra that has chicest airy sleeves along with a clinched peplum. The intricate embroidery on a very high neck (not sported often by me) makes it appropriate for workspace. I have paired it up with flared denim from Dorothy Perkin and my got to block heels from New Look. I  have literally worn them out ever since I got them and never failed to receive compliments on them. I wish I could buy them back again, 'cos it's falling to pieces now-yes, it's such a staple for me!

Thinking how I would wear the top otherwise? I would pair them up with a denim pencil skirt and wedges or with maxi with slits and low ankle boots.

The Sorority Lives of 60's

I enjoy being a girl! And my wish would really be to live every day of the week in a new decade. I find the old musings, music , women, hardships they faced very endearing. If I could only time travels. Dressing up and having the liberty to write your own blog gives you that freedom, to say the least. Today my love for the bygone era continues-I flirt with the 60's reimagining what a sorority would I be in or what would I dress up as. Can we style the pieces today as we could wear them in the MODs?  I often question myself-Plus size fashion has evolved in recent years, leaving many fat fashion enthusiasts grateful but how did women shimmy back in the thigh-grazing straight fit dresses or Was it just a norm just for the straight sized women?

I'm wearing my last inch high neck dress with bell sleeves paired with a pastel mauve hue of stockings and T-straps oxford heels. My hair is pulled into a carefree updo bringing attention to my eyes-Played up with shades of blue family.Wearing NYX's Matte Lipcream in Amsterdam.

Lastly, I had like to Dedicate this song to my lovely ladies reading this.

I'm a girl, and by me that's only great!

One of the 55 LBD's

Every girl is entitled to own 55 Little Black Dresses at least! haha, Well that's m version at least. I have a humongous wardrobe thanks to blogging I increase it additionally every week. I cannot even stress how my life revolves around clothes being in the industry and making one as a hobby too. Coming back to the notion of 55 LBD's this was one of my very first purchases from ZARA on sale obviously in 2012.I remember not finding much of options but was very ecstatic to get this one even without trying on. So the dress is really special to me 'cos I rarely shop offline because of the availability and also this being ZARA really.

The plunging neckline is not something I'm wary of but my mother is. No excuses but I h ad to wear a cami slip dress underneath(Big Girls, you know what I mean.?)
Here I'm seen in my wrap dress paired with pumps from Tresmode and Earrings from Voylla. My hair is definitely inspired by the Kala Khatta Mojito that you have to try at Rockville Bar & Diner. The Mad Hair Scientist has given me a lot of texture but a very laidback wavy hair. I'm wearing Chambor on my lips.

Plaid Perfect

I made this tartan bodice with a hi-low hem skater dress that accentuates the curves and is perfect for our body types alike.

Paring it with my suede pumps from Tresmode and a polka –dotted headband ,my hair was styled by Sanky in the amazing front pouf and really a faux longer and sleeker bob.I would like to thank Copa Cafe for having me and my mates over!

Bomber Jacket - Two ways to Wear 'Em ft.LastInch

I really wanted them to be comfortable hence my footwear are these Muted Matte Gold- Mesh Detailed loafers, they come with a 2-inch platform that effortlessly adds  to 5 Feet 5 Inch frame.

As for the second look I'm wearing a translucent  film top with Old Navy Shorts and the same comfy Loafers.

A riot of colours

Take a minute and imagine the world around you without colors, how boring and unexciting life would be. The sense of color is as extended as the sense of LIFE.
Every color has a unique effect on individuals and stimulates various responses e.g. the fast food companies use red, yellow and orange colors in their restaurants and product packaging as these colors are found to be helpful in increasing appetite. A research by the University of British Columbia has proven that blue color enhances creativity whereas; the color red helps to be focused and has a positive effect on memory.

The Blackfriars Bridge made of black iron when painted green, showed a decline in suicide rate up to 30%. Studies show that pink color is beneficial for stimulating responses from females whereas dark green color has a motivational effect on males.

Moving beyond the gyaan I incorporate two trends in my wardrobe religiously and pretty much unknowingly , the first one being monochrome and the second one backfiring with colours,no really! This dress has got to my favourite in terms of comfort, that I don’t need to wear anything to layer over or under, which is a bliss for me!

After the making some major headlines, parrot lady finally returns home and I take no chances on getting inspired. I have previously donned tonnes of graphic, this one is has an Indian ladies across the state in their ethnic dresses. Zoom in to figure out which states are featured.

I made this Maxi shirt dress to wear from day meetings when I want to be oozing a lot of flamboyance. I paired it up with my salmon suede heels and these spike earrings from the_bling_store.
